Brittany Fenny simply couldn’t wait to become a smart owner so she has taken delivery of the car of her dreams now – nine years before she is even permitted to drive.

Eight-year-old Brittany became smart of Exeter’s youngest customer after collecting the keys to a new fortwo pulse cabriolet.

The youngster, from Paignton, suffers from cystic fibrosis so was eligible for a car to help her get around via the Motability scheme, which provides an allowance that covers the contract hire, road fund licence, servicing and breakdown cover.

“I love going shopping in my smart car with mum, putting the roof up and down and waving at other smart drivers,” said Brittany, who has customised her car with pink furry seat covers, teddy bears in the rear window and an Ugg Boot air freshener.

Brittany’s mum, Tracey, the registered driver, was delighted with the way that Brittany had been looked after by Joe Hurrell and the team at smart of Exeter.

“They made her feel really special,” added Tracey. “Brittany is already talking about having the exact same model when we change the car in three years’ time and I think is now always going to be a smart owner.”
